![]() The Aura is a reflection of our being at any given moment. It is therefore essential to focus at one spot when watching the aura and resist temptation to change the point of focus, otherwise an image of the aura may become confused with the afterimage of an object. The increase in size is due to the vibration of the aura and actually represents a “snapshot” of the aura. The afterimage of an object surrounded by its aura is larger than the original image. Afterimages have the precisely the same shape as original images. Practice for at least 10-15 minutes each day to increase your sensitivity and develop auric sight.Īfter-images: The memory of visual stimulation produces what is termed afterimage. Follow instructions above for seeing Auras. Illumination should be VERY soft and uniform not bright. In the beginning it is best if the background behind you is plain white and there are no shadows. Stand about 4 feet in front of a good size mirror. Yet another source recommended looking at the throat or heart chakra (although women may feel a bit uncomfortable when their chest is stared at, so you may not want to do this) but practice focusing on the different areas until you find one that works for you. Tips: One resource recommended to let your eyes go slightly out of focus. ![]() Remember, concentration on one spot increases your sensitivity by accumulating the effect of the aura vibration reaching your eyes. The longer you concentrate, the better you will see it. You should see that the background nearby the person is brighter and has a different color than the background further away. Continuing the concentration is most important. After 30 seconds analyze surroundings with your peripheral vision, while still looking at the same spot.Look at this spot for 30 to 60 seconds or longer.Other resources recommend looking a couple inches to the right of the head around the ear or shoulder area. Such a mark in ancient times could mean the invitation to look and see the aura. In some cultures (India) they put a mark on a forehead. This is the location of the third eye or brow chakra. A colored background will change aura colors which complicates things, but you can practice looking at the auras of plants against the blue sky as a background. ![]() ![]() Situate the person in front of a very softly illuminated plain white background without shadows.Not only will you see the aura better, but you will also gain confidence about what you see. I then compiled and consolidated the descriptions for this handout. That really bugged me, so I took a few days and gleaned the internet finding resources on the color combinations. The one thing I did notice when studying all these materials was none of the resources really provided a full list of the aura colors and how to interpret them. I’ve spent quite a bit of time over the years wishing I could see auras and spending money on videos, books, and really cheapo (but expensive) blue glasses so I could learn how to see the aura consistently, but it hasn’t yet happened on a consistent basis.
